| New proposed Veterinary
Practice Act. The proposed new practice act is currently
open for comment. It will be discussed at the Wyoming CE
conference in Cheyenne June 20-23. The current practice act
is in need of updating and the folks in charge want to have
everything ready for this to go to the 2011 Legislative Session.
This is the first time that Veterinary Technicians have been addressed in the practice act. This draft will require a technician to have completed an AVMA accredited Technician program, but does not require the VTNE. It also does not address OJTs who have been grandfathered in. If you are attending the conference in Cheyenne, please plan to attend the meeting. Or you can contact Fred Emmerich 307-634-8783. |
