The WyVTA has offered the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE) since June 2000.  In January 2007, this was taken over by the American Association of State Veterinary Boards (AAVSB). The exam is currently offered nationwide on the 3rd Friday of January and June. 

Applicants must be graduates of an AVMA accredited program.   

Cost of the exam is determined by the AAVSB.  Click here for VTNE application.  

Recommended study references are Mosby's Comprehensive Review for Veterinary Technicians.  Online review courses are offered through VSPN and VetMedTeam.   Click here for a VTNE candidate information booklet (sample questions).
