Welcome

The Wyoming Veterinary Technician Association (WyVTA) welcomes you! The WyVTA was formed in 1999 to help foster communication between veterinary technicians, assistants and office support staff throughout the state.

The WyVTA is registered as a Nonprofit Corporation with the Wyoming Secretary of State; Articles of Incorporation are on file.

The primary objective of Wyoming Veterinary Technician Association is to advance the specialty area of veterinary medicine and increase the competence of those who practice in this field by establishing requirements for certification in our field and encouraging continuing professional education.

At this site, you will find information about our Association, our membership and certification requirements, forms to assist you in applying for and renewing your membership/certification, and an extensive Pet Medical Library for you to search for additional pet health care information.

Certification in Wyoming is voluntary and is being administered by the Wyoming Veterinary Technician Association.  It is our goal to have as many technicians in the state as possible become certified to help strengthen our effort to have technicians recognized in the Practice Act.

We currently conduct business meetings on-line through ZOOM.  Anyone in the veterinary profession may participate in our meetings; ZOOM is free. Meeting ID numbers are sent via email or you may contact the secretary for access information prior to the meeting date.
