Fear Free Certified Professional

I am a native Coloradoan and graduated from the University of California Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology; Associate of Science degrees in Animal Health Technology and Environmental Design-Architecture from Cosumnes River College Sacramento, California; and a Master of Education from the University of Central Florida.

I have been deeply involved in veterinary technician association functions for more than 30 years serving at the local and state levels for California, regional and state levels in Florida, and a term as Vice President of NAVTA. As a military spouse I found Wyoming without any representation for credentialed veterinary technicians in the late 90's and worked with several others to form our Association and am proudly a charter member of the Wyoming Veterinary Technician Association (WyVTA) and still serve as an advisor to the Association. I maintain active memberships in NAVTA; AVTE (Association of Veterinary Technician Educators); and the Wyoming and Alaska Veterinary Technician Associations. My credentials are still current in several states: CACVT (CO), WyVTA, California, and Alaska. I am proud to be an Elite member of the Fear Free Speaker’s Bureau, Fear Free Advisory Group, and a Fear Free Practice Certification Consultant.
Being married to the now retired military has meant morphing my veterinary career quite a bit with each duty station my husband was assigned to. I am now semi-retired, substituting in our local school district, occasionally lecturing for Fear Free and other veterinary topics, and trying to enjoy slowing down as our two girls go out into the world.
