2023 WyVTA Annual CE Conference & Annual Meeting
Our 2023 Conference and Annual Meeting has come to a close with a new record of 50 attendees!
We’d like to thank all of our wonderful vendors this year for their sponsorships and donations to help us maintain the level of speakers and venue as well as the food, goodies, and information they provide. Please help us thank them whenever you see them in your practice or at other conferences you attend!
Donna Sisak, VTS in Anesthesia and Analgesia, Dr. Khursheed Mama, Diplomate ACVAA, and Jan Woods, LLC for the fantastic presentations on anesthesia, analgesia, multimodalities, revised AAHA guidelines that take into account the animal’s best pain management and minimal fear, anxiety, and stress to improve anesthetic and analgesic protocols for each individual patient, and the ever present DEA and controlled substance questions, issues, and concerns that plague veterinary practices, especially mobile and specialty practices.
Topping off the Annual Meeting was the Association’s active participation in the current efforts to bring legislation and licensure for veterinary technicians together in the State of Wyoming. We are actively staying involved with the Wyoming Veterinary Medical Association and Wyoming Veterinary Medical Board in a subcommittee to thoroughly review these considerations and hopefully find legislative support to return a proposal to the Wyoming State Legislature in the near future.
What to stay on top of what’s going on? Make sure your membership stays current, or join by going to the Membership page and if you are a veterinary technician review the information to also become certified through the WyVTA https://www.wyvta.org/membership.pml.
