The Wyoming Veterinary Technician Association is dedicated to advancing veterinary technology by providing quality continuing education, increasing awareness of the significance of our profession, and elevating the standards of the entire veterinary support team.

WELCOME

Statewide support for ALL veterinary staff including:

• Continuing education at least once per year
• Opportunities to get involved with the community to teach them about the veterinary health care team (i.e. ideas and support for local functions)
• Social events
• Team efforts for supporting the veterinary health care team and a chance to get involved at the state and national levels to promote veterinary technology
• Experienced individuals with leadership, camaraderie, and a sounding board to discuss issues, articles, jobs, futures, and etc.

Elizabeth Zima, CVT, RVT

I started working in the veterinary field in 1982 and have always had animals in my life. From family pets to wildlife saves and releases, I've worked with a wide variety of animal species. Dogs, cats, rabbits, toucans, golden eagles, llamas, snakes, turtles, lions, tigers, bears, wolves, foxes, sharks, stingrays, horses, cows, goats, chickens, koi and a grizzly bear cub, to name a few. I started as a kennel assistant and moved up to head technician and multi hospital manager throughout my career. I have a BS in biology and math and BA in veterinary technology. I am an RVT and currently a CVT, but I've been an LVT as well. I love the field and am happiest working in it and for it!
