Jessica Schinkel, AAS, CVT

After shadowing a veterinarian in eighth grade, Jessica knew that she would one day work with animals. In 2011, she graduated from PIMA Medical Institute in Colorado Springs, Colorado with her Veterinary Technician Associates in Applied Science. She was hired on to work at her externship site where she jump started her career. Today, she works at Carbon County Veterinary Hospital in Rawlins, Wyoming. This mixed animal practice offers her a wide range of experiences and an all inclusive skill set. With a special passion for phlebotomy (for which she is also qualified to perform for humans) she also enjoys assisting in orthopedic surgeries, dentals, and client education. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their twins, and their dogs at their cabin or just in the great outdoors. She takes great pride in her greenhouse and also enjoys teaching fitness classes at local gyms. She considers herself an expert chicken wrangler and is constantly trying to improve her Spanish.
